COM was established in 1995 by Sergio Mauri. Born
in 1953, he graduated in chemical engineering at the "Politecnico"
(Polytechnic University) in Milan in 1980. His father was
one of the forerunners of the Contamination Control science
in Italy and he was promoter of the area association ASCCA,
which is a member of the international federation ICCCS.
Sergio Mauri has always worked in laminar
flow technology and in the cleanroom sector, and he became
one of its most prominent experts and a reference point
both in Italy and abroad.
He has been a member of the board of
governors of the ASCCA
association since its beginning, and he has been its president
from 1988 to 2000.
He is the Italian representative at the
ISO
TC 209 Working Group 7 for the world-wide standardization
of the rules and he is a member of many other professional
associations.
